Registered Radiologic Technologist – Job Summary
- Produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images using radiologic imaging equipment and computer systems.
- Apply knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging processes, and address questions or concerns.
- Position patients correctly and select appropriate imaging techniques to obtain optimal image quality.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
- Maintain infection control, equipment safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Provide age-appropriate patient communication, education, and care based on individual needs.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to departmental and industry standards.
- Supervise and train radiologic technology students during clinical practice and patient care.
