Medical Receptionist

We have a full-time position available for a Medical Office Receptionist

Hours: Monday Through Thursday 7:30-5pm, Friday 7:30-3:30 with one hour lunch breaks

Genesis Spine, Joint and Regenerative Medicine is an advanced medical practice that primarily operates as a minor surgical facility. It has two distinct components: One provides interventional management to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. The other specializes in Regenerative Medicine which includes cellular therapies using stem cells and platelet rich plasma (PRP), both in the musculoskeletal component and the aesthetic arena.

What you would do...

The Medical Office Receptionist is an entry-level position responsible for answering the phones and checking in patients, collecting copays and balances due as well as handling additional administrative tasks as needed

Duties include:

Answering multi-line phones and triage the call as needed

Scheduling patients according to the company’s scheduling guidelines

Checking in patients for appointments

Review of scheduled patients 48 hours in advance to include:

·         Verify all data is correct and required information has been received.

·         Verifying/document patients’ eligibility and benefits in EMR

·         Preparing a calculation of copays and coinsurances as well as any other outstanding balances and notifying patients

Processing incoming documents into patients’ chart (fax inbox, scanning)

Minimum Education, Experience:

1 to 2 years related experience and/or training or certification in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
