HR Generalist

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking an experienced Bilingual HR Generalist (English/Spanish) for an opportunity in Santa Ana, CA.

This hands-on role supports daily HR operations, employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and knowledgeable in California employment laws.

Hours: Monday - Friday, Start time 8:00 am - 4:30 / 5:00 pm (Lunch break 1hr or 30 minutes - Flexible)

Salary: $72,800 - $83,200 DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Support employee relations, workplace investigations, and employee concerns.
• Coordinate leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA) and workers' compensation.
• Administer performance reviews and assist managers with performance management.
• Coordinate compliance training, employee engagement, and recognition programs.
• Support California Pay Data and EEO-1 reporting.
• Maintain employee records, HRIS systems, and compliance documentation.
• Assist with payroll, benefits, and additional HR initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required (written and verbal) is a must.
• Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance.
• Experience with employee relations, leaves of absence, and HR operations.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Performance management, payroll, and benefits experience preferred.
