·         Calculate comprehensive cost estimates using unit pricing, historical data, and current market conditions.

·         Identify drawing deficiencies, gaps in scope, or potential risks, and generate accurate pricing adjustments to mitigate them.

Bidding & Subcontractor Procurement

·         Prepare and broadcast bid packages and solicitation announcements to qualified subcontractors and suppliers.

·         Qualify sub-tier bids for complete compliance with project goals, scopes of work, and specifications.

·         Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors and trades to maximize project profitability and implement value engineering.

·         Compile, review, and deliver complete, professional private, and public construction proposals.

Collaboration & Data Management

·         Maintain active databases tracking historical cost data, vendor price lists, and regional building code changes.

·         Partner with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the preconstruction lifecycle to ensure projects align with budgets.

·         Conduct on-site visits and survey potential locations when required to assess site requirements and costing constraints.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Education

·         3+ years of estimating experience explicitly working for a General Contractor.

·         Strong understanding of commercial/residential landscape building materials, sequencing, field operations, and local building codes.

Technical Proficiencies

·         High level of comfort with MS Office Suite, specifically with advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills.

Core Competencies

·         Mathematical precision and exceptional attention to detail.

·         Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.

·         Compensation toward health, dental, and vision insurance

·         401(k) matching program
