Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Dementia Care Experience Required

Position: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate Hire

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with individuals living with dementia. This is an immediate opening for candidates who can begin work promptly following onboarding and a successful background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to clients with dementia.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement.
• Promote client safety, dignity, and independence.
• Monitor and report changes in client behavior or health status.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience working with dementia or Alzheimer's clients required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Connecticut driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication, patience, and caregiving skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain once hired.
