Room Service Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services (EVS) Technician to join our hospital team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. The EVS Technician is responsible for cleaning patient rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other hospital spaces while following infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, waiting areas, and clinical spaces
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces according to hospital standards
• Remove trash, biohazard materials, and soiled linens following proper procedures
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer
• Respond promptly to spills and emergency cleaning requests
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation as required
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, EVS, hospitality, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds throughout the shift
• Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available

This is a Contract position based out of Olathe, KS.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
