Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups across medical, medical telemetry, and respiratory patient populations
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Perform and maintain competence in drug titration as required for the telemetry unit
• Float on a rotational basis as required by the unit
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold a current Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIHSS certification — candidates may be submitted without it, but must obtain prior to assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Familiarity with telemetry equipment, IV pumps, lift equipment, and tube feeding pumps
• Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced inpatient environment
