RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 54-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 5–6:1
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patients with conditions including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, MI, PE, stroke, cancer, orthopedic, and dementia diagnoses
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Collaborate as part of a team-oriented unit, rotating every other weekend as part of the expected schedule
• Adapt to low-census situations as needed; no routine on-call requirements outside of low-census events

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Maine or multistate compact eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
• Experience caring for a diverse medical-surgical patient population including surgical, oncology, and neurological patients
• Demonstrated flexibility and strong team collaboration skills
