Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Float within the hospital as needed, including to the Cardiac ICU / CVPICU, based on census demands; travelers are among the first to float when census decreases and are notified at the start of the shift
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation; Epic charting experience preferred
• Adhere to all unit protocols, scheduling requirements, and compliance standards, including working every other weekend (EOW) and a minimum of 2 holidays per contract
• Complete an onsite background check and fingerprinting on the first day of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
• Active RN license required at time of submission — valid single-state Ohio license or multi-state compact license accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must be fully vaccinated — no exceptions
• No previous license disciplinary history
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
• First-time travelers are eligible, provided the 2-year specialty experience requirement is met
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility are ineligible to apply for a period of 1 year from their termination date
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates residing within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in or exposure to Cardiac ICU (CICU/CVPICU) environments
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Flexibility with scheduling, including willingness to work all weekends to accommodate blocked schedule requests (Friday–Sunday)
