Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (13-Week Contract)

Kingwood, TX | Inpatient Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Perform wound care and other standard Medical/Surgical procedures
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, glucometers, mobilab, and Welch Allyn devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float as needed to other M/S Telemetry units and the ED for inpatient hold patients

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated caring and compassionate patient care behaviors
• Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with expected weekend shifts (approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Strong flexibility and dependability in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care
