Job Description
IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Shipping Specialist for an aftermarket automotive thermal management and cooling parts manufacturer located in Las Vegas, NV.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Shipping Specialist to support daily outbound shipping operations. This position will coordinate with freight carriers, schedule pickups, prepare shipping documentation, and communicate shipment updates between the warehouse and transportation providers. The ideal candidate has experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or freight coordination and is comfortable managing multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate outbound pickups with LTL, parcel, and freight carriers.
- Schedule carrier pickups based on information provided by warehouse and logistics teams.
- Communicate with carriers regarding pickup schedules, shipment status, delays, and routing updates.
- Coordinate daily shipping activity between warehouse operations and transportation providers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Provide shipment status updates to Logistics leadership as needed.
- Escalate transportation issues, delays, or carrier service failures to Logistics leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, or warehouse support preferred.
- Experience coordinating with freight carriers is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bills of Lading (BOLs), LTL freight, freight scheduling, and carrier coordination preferred.
- Knowledge of freight classifications and shipment documentation is a plus.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, or TMS systems preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
Compensation: $18/hr. DOE
