Manufacturing Shift Supervisor

ProTrade is now hiring an experienced Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to join a leading manufacturer of erosion control products in Lenoir, NC. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and plays a vital part in leading shift operations, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist with all shift operations related to production, packaging, and shipment of finished goods.
• Ensure safety standards and plant procedures are followed at all times.
• Oversee “bag-out” of finished materials, labeling, and preparation for shipment.
• Lead and participate in safety training initiatives.
• Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, and skid steers as needed.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to assemble parts, troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, and improve efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and production flow throughout the shift.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Requirements & Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with automated systems and PLC-controlled equipment (experience with Andritz pellet mills and refiners a plus).
• 3+ years of industrial supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and follow processes with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Reliable transportation; prior forklift or skid steer training preferred (will train if needed).
