  • Evaluate whether each product's type, format, messaging, and level of detail are appropriate for the intended audience and strategic purpose.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize content, including recommending when materials should be revised, combined, reorganized, retired, or supplemented.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify technical concepts, resolve inconsistencies, and improve readability.
  • Ensure cybersecurity content reflects current threats, best practices, terminology, and frameworks, including NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and Secure by Design.
  • Support coordination, review, and release of cybersecurity guidance and related content.
  • Ensure publications integrate effectively with ongoing communications campaigns, agency priorities, and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Apply editorial standards, style guidance, plain language principles, and accessibility considerations to improve content quality.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews to ensure final products are accurate, polished, consistent, and ready for publication.
  • Work through existing relationships and contract alignment to connect related efforts, identify and address information gaps, and improve customer service, stakeholder engagement, and information sharing at all levels.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability (EOD).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Seven or more years of experience in writing, editing, or technical communications.
  • Experience reviewing and editing a range of work products, including content developed by other team members.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, grammar, syntax, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Teams.
  • Ability to produce consistent, polished, and uniform work products.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, policies, procedures, threats, and best practices.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, audience-appropriate language.
  • Experience supporting federal government clients or agencies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, communications teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
