1st Shift Forklift Operator (High Reach/Cherry Picker)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our 1st Shift distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for put-away and order picking of oversized home furnishings using Order Pickers (Cherry Pickers) and High-Reach Trucks.

Key Responsibilities
High-Bay Order Picking & Put-Away: Safely operate stand-up high-reach lifts and cherry pickers to put away inbound inventory and pick outbound furniture orders up to heights of 30+ feet.

Heavy Manual Material Handling: Manually lift, maneuver, carry, and stack bulky, heavy furniture items (sofas, dressers, tables, mattresses) onto order picker platforms and pallets.

Inventory & Order Accuracy: Use RF scanners to scan locations, verify items, process order pick lists, and update inventory in real time.

Loading & Unloading: Assist with loading staging areas and outbound trailers while ensuring products are properly secured to prevent transit damage.

Equipment & Safety Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and follow strict OSHA safety standards.

Quality Assurance: Inspect inbound/outbound goods for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors.

• Successful performance on a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Test.
