Job Description: RN – Med/Surg

Location: Olney, Illinois
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree.
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and nursing treatments.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and provide patient education.
• Assist with central lines, chest tubes, PCA machines, TPN, and other clinical procedures.

Required Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning.
• IV access, injections, and medication administration.
• Critical thinking and emergency response.
• Fall prevention, patient rounding, and bedside reporting.
• Patient safety and interdisciplinary collaboration.
