Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during day shift hours
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations, with an acceptable passing score
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency and module requirements as directed by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending certifications will not be accepted
• AHA ACLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — co-worker references will not be accepted
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single facility or location (combined experience is considered)
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a demanding patient load in an acute care environment
