Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during day shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
• Administer and manage medications safely, with competency validated through safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Participate in holiday rotation, expected to work at least every other holiday
• Complete required annual hands-on competency training and facility-assigned modules as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — active and in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification — active and in hand at time of submission
• Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single Med/Surg Telemetry location preferred, though combined experience across locations is considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a clinical setting
• Strong medication administration background with comfort in competency-based assessments
