SCA Engineering Technician III

**Description** SAIC is looking for an **Engineering Technician III** in **Crane, IN** to support the U.S. Navy. **JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:** + Supporting the battery testing for the Power & Energy support, for lead acid battery technical support, including working with electrical systems for high voltage items + Report data, results, and analysis to project representatives for batteries, battery systems, battery chargers, and test equipment + Maintain test equipment to ensure all test events are acceptable + Follow standard operating procedures for lead acid batteries and the test plans Training that will be completed after hiring will include: + National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace + Overhead Crane and Forklift Operation Certification + Forklift Certification, within 6 months of starting + CPR Training, within 6 months of starting + AFIB Training, within 6 months of starting + Lock Out Tag Out Training, within 6 months of starting + ESD Certification + Contractor will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and support personnel must use and wear as required **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:** + High school/GED and 2 or more years related experience (with some in DoD as desired) + Familiarity with power systems testing/test equipment and electrical/electronics testing described above + Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word + Ability to read electrical drawings + Must have excellent communication skills + Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process + Must be a U.S. citizen **PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:** + DoD experience Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000.
