Job Description

Join our team as a Packer, where you will be responsible for efficiently packing lip balm and other personal care and pharmaceutical products into boxes. This role requires attention to detail as you will need to count the correct amount to be packed and, in some cases, weigh the boxes to ensure accuracy. You will also perform quality checks to verify that labels are correctly applied and check for any bubbles, expiration dates, and misprints. The work is fast-paced, and you will be standing throughout your shift, ensuring that the production line runs smoothly without delays.

Responsibilities

• Pack lip balm and other personal care and pharmaceutical products into boxes.
• Count and verify the correct amount of products to be packed.
• Weigh boxes to ensure accurate counts where necessary.
• Perform quality checks on labels for proper application and verify for bubbles, expiration dates, and misprints.
• Maintain pace with the production line without causing delays.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packing, production, and packaging.
• Proficiency in general labor tasks such as loading, picking, unloading, palletizing, stacking, inspecting, and labeling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a packer is preferred.

Work Environment

You will be working in a very fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will be standing the entire time. On your first day, you will be provided with a locker for personal items, which must fit inside. You may carry a clear bag containing a calculator, knife, swipe card, and pen. The manufacturing location also serves as the corporate headquarters, and while the third shift is smaller and quieter, it requires independent work as it is supervised by only one supervisor.

This is a Contract position based out of Oak Brook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.74 - $19.74/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Oak Brook,IL.
