General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a vital role in yard and material handling, production support, industrial painting, and facility maintenance. Your contributions will ensure the seamless operation of our production processes and the quality of our materials.

Responsibilities

• Organize, sort, and stage PVC pipe, steel materials, and elevator components throughout the yard and production areas.
• Move materials using manual pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Prepare materials for shipment and storage.
• Maintain clean and organized yard, warehouse, and production areas.
• Assist production personnel with general labor tasks as needed.
• Palletize finished products and materials, band, and secure pallets for transportation.
• Perform basic assembly, preparation, and packaging of materials.
• Support inventory movement between departments.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and staging materials.
• Apply epoxy paint coatings to equipment, parts, pipes, and other production materials.
• Ensure painted materials meet company quality standards.
• Safely handle paints, coatings, and painting equipment while following safety procedures.
• Maintain painting tools and work areas.
• Perform basic facility maintenance and repair tasks.
• Use hand and power tools to complete general repair projects.
• Assist with warehouse improvements and workspace organization.
• Support preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility.
• Identify and report equipment, safety, or maintenance concerns.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in general labor, production, warehouse, construction, or yard environments.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous handyman, maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Spanish speaking abilities are advantageous.

Work Environment

You will work from 6 AM to 2:30 PM or 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. Our facility provides a dynamic environment that requires comfort in both indoor and outdoor settings, where safety is a top priority.

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
