- Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting on equipment up to 480-volt, 3-phase systems and the ability to troubleshoot using a multimeter.
- Working knowledge of safety protocols such as Lock Out / Tag Out, Confined Space procedures, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and OSHA regulations.
- Understanding of manufacturing equipment that utilizes hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and automated systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and electrical tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Capability to use electric meters and other diagnostic equipment to support troubleshooting activities.
- Ability to operate man lifts and lift trucks safely in a production environment.
- Competence in welding and general industrial maintenance repairs as part of equipment upkeep.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to maintain accurate records in a computerized preventive maintenance and work request system.
- Experience in industrial machine repair and mechanical troubleshooting on rolling and other specialized equipment.
- Familiarity with reactive maintenance environments where quick decision-making and problem-solving are critical.
- Comfort working with automation and PLC-based systems, including basic troubleshooting and understanding of control schematics.
- Ability to support general facility maintenance needs, including office-related tasks when required.
- Strong attention to safety, with a proactive approach to identifying and reporting unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ability to work independently on 2nd shift while maintaining clear communication and documentation of work performed.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders and PM tasks using computerized systems.
- Ability to adapt to evolving equipment, processes, and maintenance priorities in a growing manufacturing operation.
