Packer - Now Hiring

The candidate will be responsible for packing kits of various fasteners and small metal parts. Work orders will be received and completed as assigned by the Packaging Manager according to defined requirements. This role requires the ability to stop work order processing upon identification of any nonconforming condition. Responsibilities include operating electronic counting scales, heat sealers, and automated packaging machines. Maintenance of inventory integrity and recording final inventory counts of packaged parts upon completion of a work order are essential. Additionally, this position involves maintaining the warehouse facility and general housekeeping of the packaging area while adhering to workmanship standards and conduct codes.

• Pack kits of various fasteners and small metal parts.
• Receive and complete work orders as assigned by the Packaging Manager.
• Stop work order processing upon identification of nonconforming conditions.
• Operate electronic counting scales, heat sealers, and automated packaging machines.

• Experience in packing, labeling, and palletizing.
• Proficiency in warehouse operations and kit assembly.
• Ability to handle weight up to 60 lbs.
• Capability to stand for 6-8 hours.

• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Experience in lifting heavy items 50-65 lbs.
• Familiarity with packing processes as outlined in company procedures.
• Ability to repeat repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
• Physically demanding role.

This position has one opening on the first shift, with hours from 7am to 3:30pm, and summer hours allowing early leave on Fridays at 2pm until Labor Day. The work environment is a general warehouse, very clean, and climate-controlled, working with about 15-20 people total.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauconda, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
