Material Handler / Forklift Operator (Night Shift)

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate stand-up reach trucks and sit-down forklifts to move palletized materials, stage products, and support production operations. This position is approximately 30% forklift operation and 70% hands-on material handling and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate stand-up reach trucks and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Move, stage, and organize palletized materials throughout the facility.
• Break down gaylords, bundle pallets, remove scrap materials, and maintain work areas.
• Record pallet weights and production information accurately on paperwork.
• Assist with processing and repurposing materials for production.
• Follow production instructions and ensure quality standards are met.
• Support machine operators and learn production equipment operation.

Requirements:

• Previous forklift experience required (reach truck and sit-down forklift preferred).
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete production documentation.
• Experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Extrusion, pelletizer, or machine operation experience is a plus.

Schedule & Pay:

• Night Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
• Pay: $20.25/hour
• Overtime and occasional weekend work required during peak production periods.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
