Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

Shift: Day Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our healthcare team on the day shift. The ideal candidate will assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures while ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, including vascular, diagnostic, and therapeutic interventions.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and other specialized radiology systems.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures and assist with positioning as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention and radiation safety standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Previous Interventional Radiology or special procedures experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fluoroscopy, vascular imaging, and sterile technique.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
• ARRT certification required or preferred, depending on facility requirements.
• BLS certification required.
• State radiologic technologist license required, if applicable.
