Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide supports meal service operations in a long-term care facility and rehabilitation center, reporting to the Dietary Manager. This role helps prepare and serve meals while following dietary requirements, maintaining kitchen sanitation, and supporting safe, efficient food service for residents and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to established menus and dietary requirements.
• Assemble meal trays accurately and efficiently.
• Follow dietary compliance guidelines, including therapeutic diets and portion control.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and follow food safety procedures.
• Support inventory activities and monitor food supplies.
• Store food safely according to applicable procedures.
• Wash dishes and maintain clean food service areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in food service operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience with meal tray assembly.
• Understanding of therapeutic diets and portion control.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.
