Field Service Technician

We seek an experienced forklift technician with 3+ years' experience in a shop or field setting. Automotive technicians with Experience in Dealership experience setting are also encouraged to apply. Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and Articulate Boom equipment, used in construction.

Reporting:

This is considered an hourly position and reports directly to the Shop service manager

Essential Responsibilities:

∞ Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

∞ Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

∞ Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.

∞ Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.

∞ Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

∞ Troubleshooting- determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Repairing machines or systems using needed tools.

∞ Equipment Maintenance- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

∞ Equipment Selection- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do the job.
