Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location

Rhinelander, WI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit, including occasional pediatric surgical patients (e.g., ENT or orthopedic cases)
• Work 12-hour variable shifts on a rotating schedule
• Float to alike units at affiliated facilities as needed; floating may be pre-scheduled
• Be available for on-call assignments; low census call-back minimum is 2 hours
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Adhere to all facility health and safety policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
• AHA PALS certification
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Medical-Surgical experience; 2 years preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Additional RN experience in other acute care specialties will be considered
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
