Job Title

RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Philadelphia, PA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans under the direction of a licensed physician, utilizing the nursing process
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care on a 20-bed surgical unit with a typical ratio of 4–5 patients per RN
• Provide care for post-operative patients including those recovering from orthopedic, gynecological, urological, and general surgeries
• Direct and supervise nursing support staff in accordance with standards of nursing practice and departmental policies and procedures
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License or Multi-State Compact RN License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Willingness and ability to float to other units based on staffing needs
• Availability for every-other-weekend shifts and holiday rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
• Experience caring for post-operative patients including orthopedic, gynecological, urological, and general surgery populations
