Job Summary:\n
\nThe Urologist will provide direct patient care, focusing on outpatient and inpatient urology services. This role involves clinical evaluations, surgical procedures, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality care. \n
\n
Qualifications:\n
\n•    Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or D.C.\n
\n•    Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU). Successful completion of an approved residency program in Urology (minimum 3 years in Urological surgery).\n
\n
Duties and Responsibilities:\n
\n•    Provide direct patient care (approx. 90% of time) in outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.\n
\n•    Perform urological procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries, and bladder cancer treatments.\n
\n•    Conduct inpatient rounds and coordinate referrals as needed.\n
\n•    Perform major procedures (lymphatic, abdominal, prostate, urethra, ureter, bladder, kidney, scrotum, testes, penis, epididymis, spermatic cord).\n
\n•    Utilize holmium laser, ESWL, and fluoroscopy.\n
\n•    Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions.\n
\n•    Participate in specialty exams (e.g., compensation and pension, Agent Orange evaluations).\n
\n•    Adhere to VA medication policies (no sample medications).\n
\n
