Quality Lab Technician (9pm-9am) **$22.75hr**

Purpose and role of job:

Performs laboratory testing of products. Provides support for quality assurance functions throughout all aspects of company operations.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

·         Follows PFN Work Instructions to perform testing and other job duties for their Home Laboratory.

o    Performs lab equipment verifications

o    Performs testing and visual inspection on production samples at specified sampling frequencies

o    Performs testing for Product Development trials as needed

o    Collects and saves retain samples according to defined frequency

o    Records quality records on approved forms

o    Enters required test results into the Quality Data System

o    Reports Rule Violations and Out of Spec test results to Operations Team Members in a timely manner

o    Completes Lab Requests as needed

·         Maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory, including basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment

·         Present summary of test results and rule violations during Gemba Walk

·         Assist in other laboratories as needed using test methods they are trained on

·         Completes all assigned training modules in LMS after the due date

Education and experience requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent required

·         Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or similar programs

·         Math skills required; statistics knowledge a plus

·         Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good verbal & written communication skills

·         Experience in Nonwovens Production or a Quality position a plus

Work Environment:

Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses.  Other PPE required based upon specific tasks.  Onserves all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.

Physical Requirements:

·         Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift.

·         Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.

·         Occasional reaching overhead during shift.

·         Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.

·         Constant use of hands throughout shift for light and firm grasping

·         Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.

·         Balance required for some tasks.
