About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Unit Clerk (Medical) to join our team. As a Unit Clerk (Medical), you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our nursing staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our units, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to our nursing staff, including answering phones, responding to messages, and completing tasks as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient charts, test results, and medication administration
• Assist with scheduling, including arranging transportation and coordinating appointments
• Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs)
