Residential Route Manager - Waste Industry
Job Overview
A well-established waste services company is seeking a dependable and experienced Residential Route Manager to oversee day-to-day residential collection operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely service delivery while supporting and leading route drivers in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily residential waste collection routes and driver teams.
- Monitor safety, efficiency, and service quality across all assigned routes.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to drivers on procedures and expectations.
- Perform ride-alongs, route audits, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance.
- Address and resolve service-related issues and customer concerns.
- Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain records, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in waste hauling, transportation, or similar field.
- CDL (Class B or A) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety requirements.
- Able to work in various weather conditions and early hours.
- Experience with route management systems is a plus.
