Billing /Documentation Clerk

LA Health and Rehab Options has an opening for a Billing and Documentation Clerk. We are looking for a highly motivated person with prior experience in medical billing. This position interface regularly with the leadership of the organization and report to the Executive Director.

Essential Functions:

• Knowledge of medical billing/ collections practices
• Knowledge of electronic billing
• Knowledge of business office procedures and etiquette.
• Knowledge of basic medical coding and third party operating procedures and practices
• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
• Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients ,employees, vendors, and the general public.
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 2 year of experience
• Strong communication and customer services skills
