CT Technologist

Position Summary

The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) examinations according to physician orders using advanced CT imaging equipment. This role requires strong clinical judgment and technical expertise to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging while addressing each patient's unique medical, physical, and age-related needs. The technologist is responsible for maintaining high-quality imaging standards, ensuring patient safety, and delivering compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Operate sophisticated CT imaging equipment while ensuring optimal image quality.
• Evaluate imaging factors and adjust techniques to accommodate patient needs and clinical requirements.
• Provide compassionate patient care and ensure patient safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to support diagnostic and treatment planning.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Education that meets certification, license, or registration requirements for CT technologists.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Oregon Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon State Board upon hire.
• One of the following certifications upon hire:
• National Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT)
• National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology
• One of the following CT certifications within one year of hire:
• ARRT – Computed Tomography Certification
• NMTCB – National Computed Tomography Technologist Certification

Compensation

Pay Range: $44.12 – $68.50 per hour

Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available, including:

• Shift differentials
• Standby/on-call pay
