Maintenance Technician Direct Hire
Hourly pay with OT/ $30-$32
Seeking 3 candidates/ 1 per shift
Hours: 8am-4pm, 4pm-12pm, and 12pm-8am
Industry: Plastic MFG
Location: Hickory, NC
ProStaffing is recruiting an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for an established manufacturing company in the Claremont, NC area. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and keeping production running efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial production machinery and equipment.
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and controls.
- Identify equipment failures and make necessary repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and related electrical components.
- Install, replace, and repair electrical wiring (24V-480V), mechanical components, and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Use diagnostic tools, meters, precision measuring instruments, and standard maintenance tools.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvements.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow established safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Experience maintaining or repairing injection molding or thermoforming equipment.
- Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance tools, machining practices, and precision measuring equipment.
- Basic HVAC knowledge
Education:
- High school diploma or GED with technical training, apprenticeship experience, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
