Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (Warehouse Closer)

Location: Lewisville, TX
Pay: $25–$28+ per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
Shift: 2nd Shift – Starting at 3:45 PM

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This position handles a variety of repairs throughout the warehouse, including forklifts, conveyor systems, warehouse racking, stretch-wrap machines, HVAC systems, and general facility maintenance.

The technician must have hands-on maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently. As the Warehouse Closer, this person will help ensure equipment and facility issues are addressed and the warehouse is left safe and ready for the next shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Perform repairs on forklifts, conveyor systems, warehouse racking, and stretch-wrap machines.
• Perform general maintenance and basic troubleshooting on HVAC and air conditioning systems.
• Address plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs within the scope of training and authorization.
• Perform preventative maintenance to help prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Respond to equipment malfunctions and maintenance requests throughout the warehouse.
• Inspect equipment and facility areas for damage, wear, and potential safety hazards.
• Complete necessary repairs and help ensure the warehouse is ready for closing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and communicate any outstanding maintenance issues to management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous hands-on maintenance experience is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience repairing forklifts, conveyor systems, warehouse racking, stretch-wrap machines, or similar equipment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical components, and general facility maintenance.
• HVAC, plumbing, or industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple maintenance tasks.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Must be available to work second shift, starting at 3:45 PM.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds as needed.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in various positions while performing repairs.
• Must be able to safely handle tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
• Must be comfortable performing physical maintenance tasks throughout the warehouse.

Tools Required

Technicians must provide their own basic hand tools necessary to perform maintenance and repair duties, including but not limited to:

• Wrenches and adjustable wrenches
• Screwdrivers
• Socket sets
• Pliers
• Toolbox or personal tool storage

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills and hands-on maintenance experience. They should be able to troubleshoot and repair a variety of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, racking, wrap machines, and HVAC systems. The candidate must be dependable, able to work independently, and comfortable handling different maintenance tasks throughout the warehouse.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay: $25–$28+ per hour, depending on experience.
• Shift: 2nd shift, starting at 3:45 PM.
• Location: Lewisville, Texas.
• Position: Warehouse Closer.
