Senior Accountant — Real Estate Development

We are growing in New Jersey real estate development and energy efficiency company. We develop residential and mixed-use properties and provide HVAC, refrigeration, and lighting upgrade services through utility incentive programs.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of accounting across multiple LLCs and real estate development projects. This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-paced team where you will work directly with leadership and manage the books from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, bank, and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate books across multiple LLCs and related entities
• Track capital contributions, distributions, investor funding, and intercompany transactions
• Monitor construction budgets, project costs, and cash flow
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Process payroll and manage vendor payments
• Coordinate with banks, lenders, investors, and title companies
• Prepare organized financial packages for the company’s CPA

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Real estate development, construction, or property accounting experience is required
• Strong QuickBooks Online skills
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, LLCs, and intercompany transactions
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure
• Self-starter who enjoys ownership and working in a small company environment
