Press Operator – Manufacturing

Pay Rate: $18.00–$22.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial press machines, producing quality parts, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor industrial press machines to meet daily production requirements.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from press equipment.
• Operate mechanical, hydraulic, or stamping presses according to established procedures.
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and defects.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Perform basic machine adjustments, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and communicate maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production records and report quality concerns.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
• Experience operating press machines, stamping equipment, or similar industrial machinery is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand basic measurements and production instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Comfortable bending, reaching, twisting, and performing repetitive movements.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay: $18.00–$22.00, depending on experience.
• Full-time employment.
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs.
