Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) will support a mixed client population by providing compassionate, respectful assistance with daily living needs, personal care, safety, and companionship. The PCA will report to the Registered Nurse and Administrator while helping clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with mobility and patient transfers.
• Support household tasks and maintain a safe environment.
• Offer companionship and compassionate care.
• Monitor client safety and observe changes in condition.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in personal care assistance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of activities of daily living, patient transfers, and vital signs monitoring.
• Experience with medication reminders and infection control.
• First Aid training.
• Strong communication, compassion, and observation skills.
