ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

LOCATION: Hattiesburg, MS

PAY RATE: $18-$22/hour

TYPE: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

PrideStaff Hattiesburg is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of our client in Hattiesburg, MS. In this role, the Accounts Payable Clerk will perform the following duties:

• Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
• Understand expense accounts and cost centers
• Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in accounts payable & Foundation accounting system
• Familiarity with job costing is very valuable
• Must be dependable and be self-motivated, detail-oriented 
• Must have a great people person personality
• Must have the ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced environment
• Must not be easily distracted and be able to work in an office where there are ringing phones and people talking
• Computer experience with multiple types of software is required

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $22.00
