Carehome worker

As a Carehome Worker, you will support residents with mixed care needs in a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment. Reporting to the Care Home Manager, you will work as part of a small care team, with staffing levels varying by shift, to promote residents’ wellbeing, dignity, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Support residents with medication in line with established procedures.
• Prepare and serve meals while supporting residents’ dietary needs.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report changes or concerns promptly.
• Support activities that promote engagement, independence, and quality of life.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living areas.
• Complete accurate care documentation and records.
• Communicate effectively with families and the wider care team.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote residents’ safety and dignity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in residential care.
• Knowledge of personal care assistance and safeguarding procedures.
• Understanding of medication management and care documentation.
• Basic Life Support training.
• Empathy and a compassionate approach to resident care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must pass DOJ clearance.
