Panel Builder - 1st Shift

Location: Sandusky, OH
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Local Company is seeking a skilled Panel Builder to join our team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels for conveyor and material handling systems. The ideal candidate will have electrical assembly experience, be detail-oriented, and possess strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to schematics and engineering drawings
• Install components including relays, drives, PLC hardware, terminal blocks, breakers, and disconnects
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials
• Route, label, and terminate wiring accurately and efficiently
• Test completed panels to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications
• Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues during assembly and testing
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all quality and safety procedures
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous panel building, electrical assembly, industrial maintenance, or related experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements during assembly

Work Environment:

Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures. Required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, must be worn at all times.
