Essential Job Functions

• Organize daily work schedules for all nursing staff to ensure proper coverage throughout the facility.
• Follow facility guidelines in determining proper staffing per nursing wing and shift based on current resident census. 
• Approving/denying PTO for nursing staff
• Maintain a record of all schedules worked. 
• Communicate to nursing staff the shift and schedule availability.
• Maintain daily attendance record for nursing staff.
• Contact staff as necessary to schedule coverage.
• Will be included in the on-call rotation
• Maintain updated telephone list of nursing staff.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Ensure that all residents are treated fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Report all allegations of resident abuse and/or misappropriation of resident property. 
• Attend in-services as necessary to stay abreast of changes pertaining to the nursing department.
• Help with various audits
• Other duties may be assigned.
