Night shifts -- 10 - 14 shifts per month in 5 - 7 day stretches
Variable patients per shift
Critical care -- intensive care unit setting
Central line and arterial line placement required bedside procedures
Intubation, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture privileges
Critical care billing experience required -- 99291 code
Ongoing assignment -- potential 1 - 2 year commitment
Hospital privileges required
