Aquent is partnering with a global leader in consumer packaged goods, renowned for bringing innovative and trusted products to households worldwide. This company is committed to excellence and continually seeks to enhance the consumer experience through thoughtful design and rigorous insights.
Are you a passionate and hands-on Consumer Insights Researcher ready to make a significant impact on how millions experience everyday products? We are thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future of packaging and design. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in guiding evidence-based decisions, starting with exciting projects like evaluating toothpaste-cap designs to uncover consumer preferences and perceptions of premium quality and luxury. You won't just conduct research; you'll own the entire process, from study design to delivering actionable recommendations, directly influencing product development and market success. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on beloved brands and establish cutting-edge research methodologies that will resonate across future product lines!
What You'll Do
- Partner with packaging, design, and marketing stakeholders to define research questions and decision criteria.
- Design quantitative consumer studies to compare packaging alternatives and assess preference, perceived quality, premium positioning, and brand fit.
- Develop questionnaires, screening criteria, sampling plans, and approaches for presenting design concepts fairly.
- Coordinate consumer recruitment and research fieldwork through available survey platforms and participant-panel providers.
- Manage study execution, timelines, and response-quality checks.
- Analyze findings, assess meaningful differences between designs, and explain limitations.
- Present clear data-backed recommendations that help stakeholders select or refine packaging concepts.
- Develop reusable research templates and processes to support future studies efficiently.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience independently leading quantitative consumer research from initial brief through final recommendations.
- Relevant CPG research experience, including packaging evaluation, design testing, or closely related product-concept research.
- Strong questionnaire design, sampling, and statistical analysis skills.
- Experience recruiting target consumers or managing consumer-panel providers.
- Ability to distinguish personal preference, perceived premium quality, and purchase intent as separate research measures.
- Ability to translate findings into practical decisions for packaging, design, and marketing teams.
- Comfort working independently with stakeholders across functions.
Stand Out With (Preferred Experience)
- Experience in oral care, personal care, beauty, skincare, or other premium consumer-product categories.
- Experience with studies exploring packaging aesthetics, luxury perceptions, and brand positioning.
- Research across multiple countries or consumer segments.
- Proven ability to build repeatable research processes within a business.
- Experience with qualitative follow-up research to explain the reasons behind quantitative findings.
- Background in physical-product or sensory research, especially if the scope expands beyond visual evaluation.
