A well-established healthcare organization in Orlando is seeking a Staffing Specialist to support recruiting and candidate screening efforts in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in recruiting, staffing, Human Resources, or healthcare talent acquisition.
As a Staffing Specialist, you will play an important role in connecting candidates with employment opportunities by conducting initial phone screenings, gathering candidate information, and supporting the recruiting team with organized and timely follow-up. This is a strong entry-level career path for a recent graduate, customer service professional, administrative assistant, medical office professional, or anyone with transferable communication and organizational skills.
This role offers hands-on recruiting experience, a supportive team environment, and exposure to HR processes within a stable organization. Candidates who are dependable, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable making outbound calls throughout the day will have the opportunity to build valuable skills and grow into a long-term recruiting or HR career.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to candidates who have applied for open positions.
- Conduct initial phone screenings using a provided list of questions.
- Gather and document candidate qualifications, education, experience, availability, and other screening details.
- Enter accurate candidate information into the recruiting system and maintain organized recruiting records.
- Forward completed screening notes to hiring managers or recruiting team members for review.
- Communicate professionally with candidates and support day-to-day recruiting activities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Flexible start times available: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite at the corporate office in Orlando, FL.
- Employment type: Temp-to-hire opportunity.
- Conversion eligibility: Temp-to-perm opportunity after 640 hours, based on the client’s conversion process and business needs.
