Technical Accounting Manager

Fast growing industrial services company with international operations and a headquarters location in Central Morris County is seeking a strong Technical Accounting Manager.  The candidate will be responsible researching the impact of new or proposed accounting standards, interpretations or regulations from the SEC, FASB, AICPA, and EITF.

Prepare timely, high-quality white papers on all key technical matters for submission to the independent auditors and internal stakeholders and manage the resolution of financial reporting implications.

Assist in preparing and maintaining an up-to-date library of accounting policies and procedures.

Research business development technical accounting matters (both under US GAAP and IFRS) that could impact the estimated valuation of proposed transactions.

CPA is required along with 5+ years of either straight Big 4 assurance / larger regional accounting firm or private industry experience in the Technical Accounting arena.  The position is hybrid with only 1-3 days in the office required….very flexible!!!     Strong ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) and Excel skills required here as well.   The company offers a very competitive salary in the $130-165k range depending on experience, plus bonus and excellent benefits.  Very high exposure to Sr. Management here as well.
