Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

About the Role

We are seeking a Transportation Specialist to support day-to-day transportation and logistics operations within a fast-paced supply chain environment. This position serves as a key point of contact between customers, drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse teams to ensure freight moves efficiently and service expectations are met.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, drayage, freight, dispatch, or supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and transportation availability.
• Coordinate freight movements between ports, rail terminals, warehouses, and customer locations.
• Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers.
• Schedule drivers and coordinate transportation activities.
• Maintain delivery appointments and transportation schedules.
• Resolve transportation delays, service disruptions, and customer concerns.
• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, appointments, and delivery confirmations.
• Assist with transportation documentation and administrative duties.
• Support daily logistics and transportation operations.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatch, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and data entry skills.

Preferred

• Experience in drayage, trucking, freight, or intermodal transportation.
• Experience coordinating shipments or dispatching drivers.
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in a warehouse or 3PL environment.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
