Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU supporting approximately 190 births per month
• Monitor, assess, and care for critically ill neonates in an acute care hospital setting
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• May be expected to float to the Mother-Baby unit to care for newborns; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Work every other weekend, with the possibility of additional weekends to accommodate unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in NICU
• Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS
• Willingness to float to sister or like units as needed; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Couplet care experience preferred for expanded float eligibility to Mother-Baby unit
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
