Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU with approximately 190 births per month
• Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill newborns, implementing individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality neonatal care
• May be required to float to Mother/Baby unit for newborn care; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including working every other weekend with the possibility of additional weekend shifts to accommodate unit needs
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS
• Proficiency or ability to chart in Epic
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of initial submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Couplet care experience (may allow for full float to Mother/Baby unit)
• Familiarity with Level III NICU environments and high-acuity neonatal populations
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
